Why is my saddle doing this?

by Reilly
(B.C)

When i go to get on my horse from the left it slipps and almost rolls and when i get on the right it stays in the same place i lounge him with the saddle before i get on so it is not him keeping air in his belly...what do you think it is do you think it might be my smart cinch it has a rolly thing on the left to make it easy to get tight..

Answer: I dont think you have your saddle quite tight enough if it slips that far. Your are supposed to be able to slide 2 fingers comfortably under the girth without force. I have a smart cinch as well and to be honest with you, I dont care for it to much. Maybe you should try another cinch, just to be safe. You dont want to tighten it so much that it is uncomfortable for your horse.
