UK Horse owner.

by Alec Swan
(Norfolk UK.)

Whilst we all hate the idea of our horses going for human consumption, It must surely be better that properly regulated slaughter halls are used, rather than back yard or illegal systems.

If there is no market for the unwanted horse, then this would explain the appalling lives which many live. Unwanted, uncared for, and a miserable, worthless existence. Better the bullet, but within a regulated and humane system. For those who would have the slaughter system ended, explain to me how we care for the unwanted. I would much prefer that a horse of mine met a humane end, than it ended up living a life of misery. Alec.
