Too sad to think about....

I am leasing a pony. He is the love of my life and recently the owner said that she needs him back. the cruel part is he is being sold to slaughter. This is a pony that has won numerous trophies, ribbons and medals and has completed levels in natural horsemanship and can be rode with a rope around his neck. He is a member of pony club and is in his prime age. She just doesn't want him anymore and no one can afford him because of the recession. This is cruel and barbaric and there is nothing i can do about it...
