replying with the facts to your pro slaughter stand.
by: Thomas Lee Trevino

You know I clearly understand on which position you have turned too but, let me remind you, I was born and raised in Texas and now in Illinois.

I have raised and own horses my whole life. On the downside of my life, I have been fighting horse slaughter since the early 90s. I personally have witnessed the treatment the horses receive, and it is NOT humane.

The wording you mention, (but it is truly misguided), is from the pro slaughter side from a news article.

According to the USDA FOIA, they have finally released info relating to the many years the horses have endured this. This foreign business paid no Gross Income Taxes nor Export Taxes as most Americans are subject too. They operated illegal in Texas for years and anyone that supports a illegal business that ignores state laws should be shut down, or even that they also created jobs for illegal citizens, when we pay border patrols to keep them out.

These Plants in Texas and Illinois never paid there OSHA violations and city waste water fines. The ones crying are the ones now loosing money, the over-breeders that fail to take responsibility to the Auctioneers that sell to the killers and to the killers that sell to the foreign plants.

Together they have spreaded a lie to promote there business. First its they are old and sick horses, then they are overpopulated and unwanted. All bull crap from people which are misguided from the truth.

The plants want horses that are only young fat and healthy. The pro slaughter fail to mention the economy has hurt everyone including all other pets. They all need to educate themselves on the word responsibility. Just as our government needs to hold wall street and banks for their greed and irresponsible acts.
