Well, I for one

agree. If people were smart enough to actually pick a a slaughter issue of any horse magazine, such as H&R, they might begin to understand. There are unwanted horses out there. (I know that some of you people with "furry little kids" won't understand, but you need to get over it. Animals aren't people. That sounds harsh, but really... it's true.) More horses are, in fact, being sent to mexico, which has MUCH harsher ways of doing it. At least here, we regulated it if only a little.

The real criminals are the ones that do release there horses on to streets. Where families traveling on route may be killed. Just irresponsible people. Who also are to blame are the foreigners that lie to responsible people saying they kill old sick horses which is a lie. I also blame them for ignoring Texas laws and operating illegal for years. I also blame the Over breeders association that continue to turn the head and keep on breeding with no regards or that they do not even donate or set funds aside for rescues. They are the problem and you are the Idiot that runs the fat mouth with no facts.. Get an education dude...

I have been fighting the pro slaughter issue for years I have witness all three plants in Texas and lived in Texas for 32 years. First they operated illegal ignoring Texas laws. second they promoted illegal just as the beef and pork industry does.Third the South Western Cattle Association were getting $3.00 per head slaughtered at plants. fourth closing Texas plants and Illinois plants did not open Mexican or Canada plants they actually owned the Texas and Illinois plant they only operated secretly so the public would not come out with a bill to stop exports. Our first intentions were to stop it in the US then soon abolish the exports. This is not a legal or humane business. They broke laws and ignore OSHA violations. Its a slaughter support slaughter industry. Allowing horse slaughter in the US will NOT make people responsible. We must NOT reward irresponsible people we must punish these people. These pro slaughter people will make every kind of lie to support there evil profits. Saying there are a 100,000 unwanted horses is a bunch of crap its 100,000 unlucky horses that were not sold to good families. The families have to compete against killer buyers that are the sharks of the auctions grabbing every horse they can get. The more the bigger the profits. Then its the Over breeder Associations that make profits promoting breeding to date these organizations such as the AQHA, APHA do not donate to any horse rescues in the US or canada.. for more info visit www.SaveDaHorses.org ,www.MaryNash.org, www.sharkonline.org
