Learn from your mistakes
by: Thomas Lee

Personally I have 40 head of horses, and I am in a financial bind. I can't give horses away at this point. I know there are a lot of other people out there like me in the same situation.

All of these groups should have thought about the consequences to these actions. I understand regulating, but not shutting down completely..........

40 heads of horses using that way of termology tell us you are one of the problems.. The statement you made above seems you havent practice what you preach so why does anything you write on the Net hold any crediblity.
Seems you wouldnt be in this situation if you had taken the time to breed responsible.
Now who is suffing you or the horses and who is at fault us Anti slaughter or the Pro slaughter people who are now crying the sky is falling.

Before any of us Anti slaughter folks give you Pro slaughter folks any solutions. You must realize fixing the problem isnt slaughtering horses. Its called take action and learn responsiblity and not to sellout to the loose horses everywhere and the market is dropping.
Then realize the economy is the main deal and that everything is hurting.
Then start donating to horse rescues and volunteer some time to help others instead of making money off the sells of horses.

Seems AQHA made you money and Yet they have never set funds or even donated to any rescues in the US or Canada.

Auctioneers arent selling to killers as they once did so auctioneers are hurting and killers are hurting and now with the crimes near the mexican boarder truckers are worried about there pityfull lives yet they cared little about the horses lives.

America is messed up because the Majority of Americans oppose horse slaughter yet a the cattle industry cries the pork and poultry cries and then a few airheads believe them.

Remember it was the cattle assocation that once tried to sue Oprah on her free speach. Seems if anything hurts the cattle industry is the cattle industry it self for never keeping there big mouths shut and crying about lost profits when now there focusing on opening a feedlot/slaughter plant in MT with a Korean Invester interested. Most of the product will be sold to So.Korea the blood and few remains will be left here on our good ole America... Shame on all sellouts for the buck Not once cares to donate to the rescues that are trying to fix the problems they created.

I agree, sort of.....
by:

I agree that there is a problem, when people can't take care of their horses.

I also agree, that when the U.S. slaughter plants were open, at least it was regulated.

I do not agree with the way it is handled. I think if the U.S. slaughter plants would open up again, and be strictly regulated, that these unwanted animals could at least die humanely.

I do not know what the solution is for the problem, but I think that it should be something other than shipping to Mexico and Canada.
