Stalled horse? hay before feed!

It is in good pracitce to feed on a regular schedule and if you have a stall kept horse they are more prone to colic.
If you feed hay and give them about 30 min. of that before you feed grain and oats that cuts down on the risk of colic, and it also slows down their gut to prevent diahrrea, and allows them to completely digest their feed and get maximum nutrition from it.
Look at your horses manure do you see undigested grain? if so try feed hay first! That way you know they are getting all the benefits from the grain!
