With the US slaughter houses closed, Where are the unwanted horses supposed to go? if people can't afford to keep them in the first place, they can't afford the $500 to euthanize and dispose of a horse! There is no wonder why more horses are being neglected, abandoned, and sent in crowded trucks across the border. If you want to keep the slaughter houses closed then you should take the responsibility of the costs of the unwanted horses. The situation for them is much worse now with the slaughter houses closed than it has ever been before.
