Rescue Ranches

by Kennesa O'Neill
(Georgia u.s.a.)

This is sickening. I've always been against slaughter houses, but after reading this I want to sob my eyes out.

I have two horse of my own, and I also volunteer at a horse rescue ranch. I don't know whether any of them would have been sent to slaughter, but I know that even if some of them can't be ridden or worked very hard, they do not deserve to die. They are all very happy, and I really enjoy working with the one who can be ridden. I would die if any of them or my horses got sent to slaughter. They all have potential, even if it is just being loved by a kid like me. Though I am only 14 I wish I could start a rescue of my own, to save more of the horses who would otherwise die.

I am also only 15, but am hoping to start a large rescue ranch as soon as I move out. it will be hard, i know, but it is what i love. I have three horses, and they are VERY well taken care of. I have also rescued kittens, and bunnies, and birds from around my neighborhood. I will always rescue animals, from wherever, whenever. It is my life, because God did not create animals to be in pain and suffering.
