When you think of the word slaughter it might make you think of a cheesy hollywood film, a book you read. Does it ever make you think of animals in general that are being beat and cut because their not "good enough" Most of these horses come off the track. All the problems horses are born with or developed is caused from the stupidity of people. Behavior problems, we create that, sickness we create that. it all comes down to humans being lazy. We don't want to deal with what we've done. We don't want to use our money on vets and what not. Some say the population of horses is growing rapidly, one because so many people breed them for money but they don't know how or don't choose to do it correctly. Again not the horses fault. So why should we send them to their own hell. Not only is it inhumane but the numbers are crazy, an estimate of 920 000 are killed each year. I understand some people depend of horses for food but do you think they would want to eat it if the saw a video or picture of how they get it? my guess is we'd be getting a whole lot more vegitarians. I just think the number needs to go down and people need to get a clue and find a new way to kill these animals. Not just horses.
