I have a male tennessee walker he is broke but acts like he dont want me to ride him

he is broke he has been rode quite a bit from what we were told he lets me saddle him up ive only had him for 3 days the other day i put the saddle on him and he acted like he was fine with me riding him it was just me and my mom outside around him he let me mount him so i just sat there to get him use to me being on his back then he started pulling his head back toward me and steppin sideways it kinda scared me so i got off them my mom got on him and before she even put her foot in the sturrip he started steppin away from her acting like he didnt want us on him we got him gave to use the man that owned him before is dying of cancer and he cant take care of the horses he has anymore so hes giving them all away they all have been taken great care of all besides the hoofs are cracked and long they were on land that had rocks every where and their tails were like dread locks we had to cut his tail hair off because it was so bad but i just need some help with why he wont let me ride him or why he is actin scared please some one help me
Answer: Sounds to me like you need some lessons. Just from reading this, it doesn't sound like you have a lot of experience with horses. Also if may be that the horse hasn't been ridden in quite a while. Either way, you need someone with experience to help you out. I would hate to see you get hurt.
