I like to treat mine about once a month or so and on special occasions, like Christmas. It’s fun to watch them dive in to their homemade horse treats and get all sticky and slobbery.
I’ve put together some horse treat recipes for you and your horse to enjoy.
Even though some of these recipes may contain peanut butter, *Do Not Feed Horses Peanuts*. They cannot digest them. Make sure all horse treats are safe before giving them to your horse.
Look here for more treats and a huge selection of Horse and Pet Supplies.
It's easy..Just fill in the form at the bottom of this page.
Mix all ingredients together and serve. Your horse will love you for it.
Take a small pumpkin, cut off top and remove all insides. Be sure and get all the seeds. Fill it with grain, carrots, apples, peppermints, strawberries or whatever fruit you have on hand. Replace top and serve to your horse.
Cut apple and banana into slices. Drizzle honey over fruit and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Refrigerate until hard.
Mix oatmeal with water. Add sweet feed and apple sauce. Mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Shape and serve.
Combine all ingredients. Add enough water to make dough soft. Form cookies and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Spread molasses on one side of rice cake. Top with things like grated carrots, grated apples, sweet feed, crushed peppermints, watermelon, or whatever your horse loves.
Mix and serve.
Mix all ingredients. Roll into balls. Wrap in tin foil and shape like a Hershey’s kiss. Place in freezer overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Mix carrot, apple, corn oil and molasses. Fold in salt, oats and flour, mix well. Spread dough onto cookie sheet and score with a knife to make them easier to break apart after baking. Bake for 20 min. or until brown. Let cool, break apart and serve.
Do you have a great recipe that your horse loves? Why not share it! We would love to add your recipes to this page. Send your recipes or just send a comment about a recipe you tried.
