Help me

by Dwight Reim
(wilbraham Massachusetts)

well long story short i`ve got a horse that has a hard time keeping weigh on but shows no signs of worms or anything else if ANYONE has info it would be much thanks to me

Answer: Does your horse drop a lot of it's feed when eating? If so, he or she may need their teeth floated. Also, how old is the horse? Some older horses are just hard keepers. I have a 17 year old mare and when she turned 15 she started to loose a lot of weight. I then switched all my horses to Purina Mills, Strategy. Since I started feeding them Strategy, I've had no problems keeping weight on any of them.

Maybe your horse needs his/her teeth done!? I had the same problem with one of my horses. After I switched her over to rice bran! It fattened her up so quickly! Good Luck!
