The Hanoverian Horse

HanoverianThe Hanoverian horse is a warm blood that is known for its good temperament, athleticism, beauty and grace. They are also very strong and elegant horses.

Their natural friendliness and good tempers make them excellent working horses and sporting companions, and a well trained Hanoverian can be a great choice for an up and coming young rider.

They are one of the best known horse breeds of the European warm bloods and have become quite popular in the U.S., as well. This breed excels in jumping and dressage.

The Hanoverian’s colors range from chestnut, bay, brown, black and gray. They can range from 15 - 17 hands tall, and are very even tempered.

The horses are elegant, strong, and robust. They are bred to be willing and trainable, and have a strong back, powerful body, athletic movement, and strong limbs.

The gaits of the Hanoverian include a ground-covering walk, an almost floating trot, and a very rhythmic canter.
