Getting Priorities Straight

by Mallory
(St. Louis, MO)

I think the world should get it's priorities straight. There are literally billions of dollars spent on doing research on this kind of thing. Money that could be used more productively on something we actually need.

Animal cloning of any kind, is wrong, in my opinion. There are thousands of horses every year that are unwanted and abused, that could possible have the potential to be the next greatest horse. However because they don't have a high dollar bloodline, or a piece of paper saying they do, they are not even given the opportunity to try.

They should use the money they are spending on trying to find ways to take care of the horses that are already here, instead of creating more. It is crazy to me to even imagine spending $2 or $300,000 to have a horse carbon copied. I guess the people that actually do this have a lot more money than I do.

I just think there are much better ways to spend the money trying to save some of the animals that are already here, instead of creating more.
