The Friesian Horse

The Friesian horse breed is one of the oldest horse breeds in Europe. It is very popular as an all-around horse for riding and farm work as well.

Although they resemble a light draft horse, they are very graceful for their size. They are most always black, very powerfully muscled and graceful.

Fresians have a thick mane and tail with a feather on their lower legs, which makes them, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful horse breeds.

These horses can be anywhere from 14.5 hands to 16 hands tall. They are almost always black and may have a small white star. This is a quiet, willing, hard-working and sensitive breed of horse.

I absolutely love these horses. I think that they are one, if not the, most beautiful horses in the world.
