Hi David,

If your horse is just lying down, then it's completely normal. All horses lie down at times and rest or just soak up the sun. Just make sure that your horse isn't sick and lying down. But, if he is just soaking up sun or rolling in the dirt to keep flies down, then he is perfectly normal.
