Your right. Not as many going to mexico and our horse market would come back up. But we still have the same problem that started all of this.
Slaughter houses were set up with certain mandates(rules) for humane kills that nobody enforces. It cost money to get set up with the proper kill chutes for horses and proper care and treatment for them. It seems like the lowest type of people work in these places and cruelty is their specialty. Starting at the auction house to shipping to the kill site.
Maybe people should start taking responsibility for their own animals instead of shipping them to get the last penny out of them. Just have them put down instead of being tortured before they die.
When people start having to be accountable for their actions then we wouldn't be having the problem we are having. It all comes down to money. You get your last penny for your horse, they get theirs for horse meat, nobody cares how the horses are treated, nobody enforces laws that are already in place.
Guess what, same thing goes on with cattle and pigs. You need to do some research on your own before you state an opinion so you know what is really going on.
