October Winner
Georgia & Emma

Georgia & Emma

Georgia & Emma

We purchased Georgia at auction in January 2009, we had to outbid the meat buyer to get her. All they said about her was that she was a mare and bred by a Morgan stud.

Georgia, an 8 yr old Morgan cross, friendly and sweet and it is apparent the more that we work with her that she was somewhat trained before being allowed to run wild for about 5 years.

Emma was born on April 25, 09, so Georgia would have been about 8 months pregnant when she almost went for meat. Little Emma is enjoying her training, already leads well and picks up her feet. She is loved by everyone she meets and is going to be an amazing filly to work with.

I shudder to think what would have happened had we not gone to auction that day, I never would have had 2 such great friends who brighten up my every day.

Yay Welchs

This is a beautiful picture of Georgia & Emma, but it still does no justice to the beauty of not only the two horses but of the farm that they live on. Christine and Howie are close friends of mine, and they are the nicest people you could ever know. You would not believe all the work and money they put in to saving horses from going to the meat market, all for the love of horses. Georgia and Emma and just two of the lucky ones. Thanks Christine and Howie, from horse lovers, and horses or course!

by: Brenda

It is because of wonderful dedicated and loving people like Christine that so many horses get a second chance. She has so many stories that I have told her to write a book. Some of them will leave you in tears and others like the one we read here so excited and happy for the horses that made it.

Christine BRAVO my friend CONGRATULATIONS and keep up the great work. Amos is doing wonderful and thanks for making that possible because you CARED!
